Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, August 12th, 2016

Larger than Baby Boomers, Millennials make up more travelers than any other generation before them. Their likes and habits are shaping the way we market our businesses to this new traveler. That’s why President of Visit Savannah, Joe Marinelli will be speaking about how his team markets to this generation at the Tourism Leadership Council connection luncheon on Thurs., Aug. 18 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center, located at 1 International Drive.

Marinelli sits at the helm of an organization that markets to all of Savannah's potential guests. Visit Savannah helps attract people traveling to Savannah from all over the world, thanks to their strong social media presence, print and digital advertising in key markets, and other forms of outreach. In fact, Visit Savannah’s Twitter account ranks the fourth best out of all destination marketing organizations in the world—better than countries like Canada and New Zealand and better than states like Colorado and Michigan.

“We’re always pleased to have Mr. Marinelli speak to the tourism community in Savannah. He and his team are a wealth of information to pass along valuable marketing advice to all businesses,” said Michael Owens, President/CEO of the Tourism Leadership Council.

The luncheon will be held at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center on Thursday, Aug. 18, from 11:30 am to 1 pm. For more information and to register to attend, please visit http://tourismleadershipcouncil.com/network/august-2016-tlc-connection-luncheon.
