The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will host the 18th Annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival Oct. 14-16 in J.F. Gregory Park (521 Cedar St.). The festival, which is being presented by Southern Eagle Distributing, will include live music, crafts, seafood, carnival rides, and feature a headline musical performance from country music star Jerrod Niemann.

“It is truly amazing to see how the number of attendees grows each year,” said Christy Sherman, executive director of the Richmond Hill Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The Seafood Festival has transformed into an annual event that draws people from all over to celebrate Richmond Hill and all that it has to offer, all while enjoying the best seafood and nationally renowned musicians.”

Niemann, who will perform Oct. 15 at J.F. Gregory Park, is an industry favorite, earning award nominations from the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association, and Country Music Television. Niemann has several top hits including his No. 1 smash hit, “Drink to That All Night,” as well as the No. 1 digital single, “Lover, Lover.”  In addition, Niemann’s “Shinin’ On Me” and the ballad “Only God Could Love You More” hit the Top 15.  He has toured with artists such as Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban.
