Hundreds of photographs of stunning Savannah scenes were submitted for the cover photo of the 2017 edition of Savannah: A Southern Journey Vol. 8. The book is the quintessential guide to Savannah, placed in thousands of hotel rooms citywide. A committee whittled down those pictures to eight finalists. Today, the public has been invited to vote on the cover.
 
“It was difficult this year to only pick eight finalists out of all of the hundreds of photos submitted. The finalists are represented with the historic Cotton Exchange building, Savannah squares and hidden gardens, Forsyth Park fountain, and the bright blooms of springtime azaleas. Choosing the best cover will be a challenge," said Molly Swagler, editor of Savannah: A Southern Journey. "That's why we want to hear from you."
 
Voting is now open online. You can cast your vote at www.TourismLeadershipCouncil.com. On the home page, click the button to cast your vote. You may also invite others to do the same. Each person can only vote once. Voting will close on Sept. 30, and the winner will be announced soon after. The winner will receive a two night stay at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa.
