Bluepoint Solutions announced that Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union (Savannah, GA-based, 9,520 members, $90M in assets) has selected FASTdocs, its Enterprise Content Management suite, to streamline and revitalize operations.

FASTdocs replaces paper-based processes across the institution with document processing that is fully digital from the point of origination. By eliminating wasteful, error-prone manual tasks, the credit union will gain cost savings and pave the way for member growth and additional member-facing services.

Georgia Heritage, which serves Chatham, Effingham and Bryan counties of Georgia, has an ambitious goal of becoming completely paperless by the end of the year. A parallel benefit will be improved security resulting from bringing processing in-house, where the credit union can fully control access privileges. FASTdocs supports customized permissions, while making information available when and where it is needed.

“Paper files are vulnerable at many points, from misplacement to misfiling to damaged-on-arrival,” said Robby Glore, VP of Operations for Georgia Heritage FCU. “With FASTdocs, we’ll be able to virtually eliminate handling paper, which means boosting our productivity and minimizing our exposure to potential fraud.”

Several Bluepoint technology solutions are part of the credit union’s upgrade:

  • FASTdocs document imaging suite, with its member-centric file structure that supports the way credit unions do business

  • File Import Studio, for electronic importing into FASTdocs with no manual interventions

  • WebShare with eDelivery, for on-demand access to member documents, plus electronic delivery of statement and other content notifications to members

  • FASTdocs with DocuSign®, to automate import of electronically signed documents

  • Batch Scan, to facilitate high-volume scanning and handle paper-to-digital conversions

Glore added, “We are a community financial institution, but with FASTdocs, we can offer the same technology as billion-dollar institutions. This will let us better serve our members, remain competitive in our local area and attract younger generations with their big appetite for technology.”

“Automating paper-based processes will put Georgia Heritage at the forefront of evolution,” said Alissa Fry-Harris, director of marketing for Bluepoint Solutions. ”Making the shift from pushing paper to a forward-poised position in under six months makes it a partnership to be proud of.”
