Staff Report From Savannah CEO
Thursday, September 29th, 2016
The popular store for cooks – Kitchenware Outfitters of Savannah – announced their decision to retire and close the doors at the end of October after 12 years of business at Twelve Oaks Shopping Center on Savannah’s Abercorn Street.
Owners Barbara and David Freeman set up their “more than a store” in 2004 with a commitment to offering customers quality kitchen items at reasonable prices with exceptional customer service. At that time, Barbara was CFO in North America for a famous European cookware brand and David had a successful marketing career. Loyal clients enjoyed Kitchenware Outfitters’ cooking classes and open evenings, which were not only fun but also dedicated to helping customers make informed decisions about culinary purchases and develop expertise in the preparation and serving of food.
“We have very much enjoyed our time in retail and appreciate the many people who have supported us over the last twelve years”, Barbara Freeman said. David Freeman added “All good things come to an end and it is time to hang up our aprons and retire so we can spend time enjoying our family.”
Kitchenware Outfitters of Savannah will hold a retirement sale starting Oct. 1, 2016 with significant discounts on all merchandise until the doors close for the last time on Oct. 31.
