The Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial University Medical Center and Tanger Outlets Savannah are joining forces to kick-off Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the launch of the Power of Pink initiative by dyeing the outlet center’s main fountain pink. It will be on Saturday, October 1st at 11am. Breast cancer survivors, friends and family will take part in the event, which is free and open to the public.
Tanger Outlets will sell Powerful Pink Cards for $5. The card gives you a 25-percent discount off a single item at participating Tanger Outlets stores. You can use the card as many times as you'd like throughout the month of October. The Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial University Medical Center receives a portion of the funds, along with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Powerful Pink Cards will be sold at Shopper Services and participating stores throughout the month of October.
Since 1994, Tanger has contributed nearly $15 million to breast cancer research through the PinkSTYLE campaign, 5K races, on-site events and other breast cancer-related fundraising initiatives across the U.S and Canada.
