Parker’s, an award-winning convenience store company headquartered in Savannah, Ga., recently donated $50,000 to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga., as part of a larger $1 million endowment to support the Parker’s Emergency & Trauma Center at Memorial.
Parker’s CEO Greg Parker presented a check to Jay Goldstein, M.D., the medical director of emergency services at Memorial. In the spring of 2016, Memorial University Medical Center completed the final phase of renovation on the Parker’s Emergency and Trauma Center, a $15 million project that doubled the amount of treatment space available.
Parker established a $1 million endowment for the project, which is named in honor of the regional chain of convenience stores.
“At Parker's, we have a strong commitment to healthcare and to ensuring quality trauma and emergency care for everyone in our community,” said Parker. “We're delighted to support the Parker's Emergency & Trauma Center at Memorial and to help make world-class trauma care available right here in Savannah. This state-of-the-art facility at Memorial is already filling a tremendous need in our community.”
