The Richmond Hill Convention and Visitors Bureau, charged with marketing and promoting Richmond Hill as a competitive meeting and leisure destination, recently announced the former Motel 6 is now under new ownership and is currently closed for renovation. When the doors re-open November 1, the new Dogwood Inn and Suites will feature upgraded and updated amenities for its guests.

“We are excited to be restoring this older facility in the Richmond Hill community,” said Bryant Maude, a Bryan County resident and partner in Dogwood Inn and Suites LLC.  “There are so many things to see and do here, and we hope the Dogwood Inn and Suites will be a 'home away from home' for many travelers in the near future!"

The Dogwood Inn and Suites will feature a refreshed exterior with porte-cochere, new roof, fresh paint and improved landscaping. Inside, all rooms are being updated and suites are being added. The lobby will have a fresh new look and there will be a breakfast area and a conference room.

“These new features will make the Dogwood Inn and Suites a great place for business travelers and others who may be in Richmond Hill for a day, several days, or even a month,” said Maude.

“The Richmond Hill Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased Mr. Maude has decided to bring Dogwood Inn and Suites to our community,” said Christy Sherman, executive director of the Richmond Hill Convention and Visitors’ Bureau. “Having a newly renovated hotel in Richmond Hill will not only expand our offerings to tourists and businesses, but enhance the aesthetics of our community.”
