Stars and Stripes Golf Tournament Coming October 10th

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, September 13th, 2016

The Second Annual Stars & Stripes Golf Tournament will be held Monday, October 10 at the Wilmington Island Club with a 12 p.m. shotgun start.  All proceeds will benefit Folds of Honor, a 501c(3) organization that provides educational scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen or disabled military service men and women killed or disabled who have heroically served our country.

“This is an extremely worthwhile event in support of families who have sacrificed so much for our great nation. I can’t think of a better way to honor disabled and deceased service men and women than by supporting their families in the pursuit of education,” said Ret. Maj. Gen. Wick Searcy, Tournament Chairman.

The cost for individuals is $125, while the cost for a team is $500. To get an edge on the competition, a PGA golf professional will play with teams who register with the fee of $600. To honor current or former military service men and women with a named golf hole, the sponsorship is $150.

Lunch, an awards ceremony, and a cocktail hour will immediately follow the tournament.  To register, please contact Patrick Richardson at the Wilmington Island Club at (912) 897-1615 or email [email protected]. Corporate sponsorships are also welcomed! Please contact David Simons at (912) 713-4944 for corporate sponsorship information.
