Monday, September 19th, 2016

The Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire’s second annual Red, White and Blue BBQ’s family-friendly fundraiser is set for Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in Ellis Square. This popular event, featuring live music and award-winning barbecue, is an important fundraiser for The Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire. The Two Hundred Club is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that provides immediate and significant financial assistance for families of fallen and critically injured law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency service personnel, as well as college educations for the family members of first responders who die in the line of duty.

For a $15 minimum donation, attendees will enjoy a plate piled high with Savannah’s best barbecued pulled pork, spare ribs, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, and a roll. Coca-Cola products, Service Brewing craft beer, and Leopold’s Ice Cream will also be available for purchase. Locals and visitors are encouraged to enjoy lunch or an early dinner while listening to live music by Savannah bands the Junkyard Angels, Bottles and Cans, and Keith and Ross. New for 2016, the Two Hundred Club is offering special deliveries on Friday, Oct. 21 to homes or businesses for those who submit pre-orders.

All donations are tax-deductible and will directly support the families of fallen heroes. One-hundred percent of the profits from this event go to support the work of the Two Hundred Club, which has given over $1.6 million to support local families of fallen and critically injured first responders.

“The Red, White and Blue BBQ is a very important event for the Two Hundred Club. The donations we receive go directly toward providing support to the families of fallen and injured law enforcement officers, EMS personnel and firefighters,” Two Hundred Club President Mark Dana said. “We encourage the community to take advantage of this family friendly event to spend some time together, enjoy great food and support the many family members who have lost a loved one while serving our community.”

All donations are tax-deductible and will directly support the 200 Club and the families of fallen heroes. For more information or to pre-order barbecue, please visit www.twohundredclub.org/red-white-blue-bbq.
