18th Annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival Cancelled Due to Hurricane Matthew

The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce announced the 18th Annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival, originally scheduled to be held Oct. 14-16 in J.F. Gregory Park, will be cancelled this year due to Hurricane Matthew. Next year’s Festival will be held Oct. 20-22, 2017.

“It is with a heavy heart and after much discussion with local officials that we announce the cancellation of this year’s Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival,” said Brianne Yontz, executive director of the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce. “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Matthew; given the storm’s devastation to our community, we feel it’s in everyone’s best interest that we cancel the Festival.”
