Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, October 7th, 2016

Savannah area residents are invited to attend the Belk Charity Sale from 6-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, to benefit Greenbriar Children’s Center.

Tickets to this private event cost $5 and are available in advance through Greenbriar or at the door. The exclusive sale will feature deals on rarely discounted brands such as Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Kenneth Cole, Coach, Free People, Lucky Brand, Steve Madden, Trina Turk and more. Customers who present a ticket will be admitted, and a free gift card will be given to the first 100 attendees. All shoppers will receive $5 off their first purchase as a thank-you from Belk for supporting the community.

One ticket may be redeemed per customer, and Greenbriar will keep 100 percent of the proceeds from every ticket it sells. Belk, which is located in the Oglethorpe Mall, 7804 Abercorn St., will also donate to Greenbriar some of the proceeds from tickets sold at the door.

Greenbriar Children’s Center is a nonprofit organization that promotes the healthy development of children and young adults, as well as the strengthening of families through services provided. These services include an emergency shelter, runaway/homeless support, residential care, independent living, family preservation, early childhood education and care, and Project Safe Place.

“Greenbriar is extremely grateful for the support we receive from the community and we could not be more thankful to Belk for hosting this charity sale and letting us be a part of it,” Greenbriar Executive Director Gena Taylor said. “Shopping to support local charities is an enjoyable way to spend a morning, and I think participants will be pleased with the wide array of great deals.”
