After nine months of planning and construction, Optim Surgery Center presented its newly renovated and expanded premier orthopedic ambulatory surgery center to members of the community. The celebration included a cocktail reception, ribbon-cutting ceremony, and guided surgery center tours for invited guests on the evening of Wednesday, October 26.
Optim Surgery Center is a dedicated musculoskeletal focused ASC that is partnered with the physicians at Optim Orthopedics. It boasts four advanced operating suites, three additional procedure rooms, and five extended stay private recovery rooms, each with an en suite bathroom for the enhanced privacy and comfort of patients and families.
“We are thrilled to present our enhanced facility to the community and our patients. Our goal has been to create an environment that feels like a boutique, five-star hotel to match our best-in-class care,” said Connor Lawrie, Optim Surgery Center administrator. “Our high-end finishes include premium mattresses, high thread count sheets, 42” HD TVs, an overnight family lounge, and catered dinners for patients and their families.”
Optim Surgery Center is surveyed and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. With the expansion of the extended stay wing, the facility is approaching 20,000 square feet, all of which is specifically designed for patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.
“By leveraging our specialization in orthopedics, we have created a safe, comfortable, and efficient center. On top of that, we offer over 30 board-certified orthopedic physicians and highly trained staff members who are all determined to get you back to you as quickly as possible,” stated Lawrie. “We provide a unique experience by integrating our all-in-one approach which includes on-site clinic, therapy, and imaging.“
The enhanced surgery center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for exceptional care. Surgeon sub-specialties include: sports medicine; total joint replacement; interventional pain management; spine (neck and back); foot and ankle; hand, wrist, and elbow; and pediatric orthopedics.
“Our new private overnight recovery suites have allowed us to expand our capabilities; total joint replacement and spine procedures in particular,” commented Optim Healthcare’s Chief Executive Officer David Castleberry. “To date, we have performed over 50 total knee replacements in our ASC. We believe patients get better at home and we want to get you back to your active lifestyle faster.”
