Pee Wee Rodeo Coming to Town November 19th

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, November 18th, 2016

Urban Hope is thrilled to announce its Third Annual Pee Wee Rodeo; a family-friendly fundraiser benefitting Urban Hope’s free after-school program for local at-risk children. An event that is truly fun for the whole family, the Pee Wee Rodeo gives kids a chance to express their inner cowboy, compete in friendly rodeo events and explore the beautiful Old Dairy Farm in Thunderbolt.

Rodeo participants will compete in various events using a stick or bouncy horse, and this year, parents are invited to join in on the fun! In addition to rodeo events, there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, archery, a mechanical bull and face painting. Delicious food and drinks will be available for purchase from Joe Loves Lobster Rolls, Roy’s Nutz And Buttz, Little Diddle Sweetery, Vincenzo’s, Thomas “The Hot Dog Man”, Old South Cotton Candy, and Kona Ice.
This year, attendees can enjoy the rodeo activities and yummy snacks while listening to music from local band Wassaw Sound. Special guest, Colt 45 the rodeo entertainer, will be on hand to entertain participants and oversee the rodeo events.

All proceeds from the Pee Wee Rodeo will go directly to Urban Hope, a local nonprofit whose mission is to instill hope in Savannah’s inner-city and at-risk children, empowering them to seek change in their lives and in their community. Founded in 2000 on the mission of “changing the world one child at a time,” Urban Hope achieves this goal through a free after-school program, free summer camp, high school student leader program and monthly family night dinners.
