Richmond Hill Gets Ready for the Holidays

The City of Richmond Hill is pleased to present the 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off. The community is invited to come out and enjoy some of the best chili around and will be asked to help choose the “People’s Choice Award” winner by voting for their favorite chili. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to winning participants. Booth rentals are first come first serve. Registration deadline is November 18, pending space availability. Christmas Tree Contest

Local businesses and organizations are also invited to take part in the City of Richmond Hill Christmas Tree Contest, which will be on display during the Annual Chili Cook-Off. This is a great way to promote your business/organization to the hundreds of local residents who attend the Chili Cook-Off. There is no entry fee for this contest.

Richmond Hill’s 21st Annual Christmas Parade: “Christmas Around the World”

10 a.m.
This year’s parade, which will celebrate Christmas around the world, will feature several local high school bands, Ft. Stewart 3rd Infantry Division Marching Band and Color Guard and the Alee Shriners. There will be a special appearance by Santa Claus and candy for children. The parade route will begin on Maple Street, continue on Cherry Street, down Ford Avenue, make a right turn into Richard Davis Dr. and continue onto Cedar Street before making its conclusion in J.F. Gregory Park.   

Christmas Decorating Contest
City and county residents can enter by December 7, 2016, by calling 912-756-3345. Winners will be announced on December 15, 2016. Prizes will be awarded and there is no cost to enter.
