In honor of Veteran’s Day, Always There Home Services, a local home repair company, will be donating a free service to an active-duty or veteran in the greater Savannah area. The recipient of this award will receive eight man-hours on any requested home improvement free of charge. Materials and overtime will not be included.

Projects that fall under this free donation offered by Always There Home Services can include: Hurrican clean-up efforts; general carpentry; new faucet or repair; garbage disposals; toilet replace or repair; chandeliers and pendant lights; trim work, hardwood flooring; tile baths, backsplash, and flooring; kitchen organizers; drywall repairs; furniture assembly; picture and shelf hanging; closet organizers; garage storage; install or replace locks.

Nominations will be accepted until midnight on Friday, November 11. All veterans, or those who wish to nominate a veteran, are asked to apply for the award by emailing [email protected] or calling 912-660-1274.

Always There Home Services was founded by Lance Farago, a United States Marine Corp. veteran wanting to apply the knowledge that he learned from the military and in Technical Training School to help his family, friends and community. Always There Home Services is a licensed and insured handyman service. Farago is a member of the Association of Certified Handyman Professionals.

“Being able to help my fellow Americans who served time in the armed forces is a great reward to me," said Farago. “This project may be something that the person has been dreaming of doing, but either does not have the time or resources. We encourage every member of our community to nominate a veteran who made an impact in their life in some way."

Always There Home Services has opened up the nominations to the greater Savannah area, to include Chatham, Effingham and Bryan Counties.

In order to nominate an active-duty member or veteran for this award, please call 912-660-1274 or email [email protected].
