Sheryl Bunton, CIO of Gulfstream, to be Keynote Speaker at TAG Savannah’s Business Technology Awards

Sheryl Bunton, chief information officer of Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. will be presenting “Developing Next Generation Leaders in IT” at TAG Savannah’s Business Technology Awards on December 8th.

Sheryl is responsible for establishing and leading the delivery of technology solutions and strategies across the Gulfstream enterprise.

Prior to joining Gulfstream, Bunton served as worldwide CIO for AGCO Corp., where she was responsible for managing more than 500 applications and a complex SAP environment. Bunton also worked as the CIO for Southwire Company, a leading manufacturer of wire and cable, and as a general manager for MYTecSoft Inc., an SAP consulting firm.
 
Bunton also has experience in the financial industry, having worked for more than a decade for then – AT&T Capital Corp., where she started as a sales representative and worked in positions of increasing responsibility until becoming senior vice president for the industrial finance business unit.

Bunton earned a business degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the AT&T School of Business in partnership with the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia.
 
The purpose of the Business Technology Awards is to highlight the innovative technology being used or developed in the coastal region. Celebrating the innovation happening around the area will help serve as a catalyst for continued technological improvements and assist in making this area a better place to do business. The celebration will take place on Thursday, December 8th from 5:30 - 8:30pm in Savannah at the Coastal Georgia Center. This is a banquet style awards ceremony with a cocktail hour prior to the event.
 
The awards are broken down into 3 categories, but 5 total awards will be given out. Two categories are both broken down into a "Small Cap" and "Large Cap" category that helps level the playing field for all applicants. The awarded categories for this event will be:
 
·        Innovation in Utilization (Small Cap)

·        Innovation in Utilization (Large Cap)

·        Innovation in Development (Small Cap)

·        Innovation in Development (Large Cap)

·        Overall Most Innovative
