New Senior Enlisted Advisor to the 165th Airlift Wing Commander Appointed

Chief Master Sgt. Rodney L. Jenkins became command chief of the 165th Airlift Wing located in Savannah, Ga. on Sept. 10, 2016. Jenkins began his career in the Georgia Air National Guard on June 28, 1988 as a personnel specialist assigned to the 165th Mission Support Squadron. Jenkins has held numerous leadership positions in the 165th Force Support Squadron and recruiting station. Jenkins is responsible for advising the Wing Commander and staff on mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, utilization, health, morale and welfare of the command’s enlisted Airmen. Among his military decorations are the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, among others. Jenkins is married to wife Gequetta, and they have two daughters. The couple resides in Savannah, Ga.
