Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Thursday, December 8th, 2016

Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union and the Coastal Empire Credit Union Chapter recently presented a check for $25,500 to the Children’s Miracle Network.

The 8th Annual Chip in Fore CMN Golf Tournament, held by Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union at Southbridge Golf Club, raised $10,000 for the benefit of The Children’s Hospital at Memorial Health. That $10,000 was matched 100% by CO-OP Financial Services, bringing the ‘miracle match’ total to $20,000.

The Coastal Empire Credit Union Chapter donation of $5,500 came from the sale of Chapter meeting door-prize tickets and World’s Finest Chocolate candy bars, which are sold in many credit union lobbies throughout the area.

“This was the eighth year for our Georgia Heritage golf tournament,” said CEO Dale Taratuta. “We were pleased to reach our goal, which ensured the CO-OP match of $10,000. Each year the tournament is supported by other local credit unions and businesses, and we sincerely appreciate their generosity.”

“Supporting CMN is a joint effort of the Coastal Empire credit unions,” said Memorial Health Credit Union CEO Don Hill, who also serves as Chapter President. “We look forward to working together again to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital in 2017.”
