The Savannah Food Truck Festival has presented the Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah with a check for $25,019.19, representing the profits from this fall’s food truck festival in Daffin Park. The organization, made up of operators of Savannah’s popular and newly permitted food truck sector, gathered in front of the building which is being remodeled into the stand-alone children’s hospital on the campus of Memorial University Medical Center. Ryan Gianoni, president of the Savannah Food Truck Association, said, “Memorial serves such a large area and is so vital to so many in the community. We’re excited about Savannah getting a stand-alone children’s hospital and we knew we wanted to help.”
