Senior Citizens, Inc. Hires Deb Thompson as Chief Business Development Officer

Senior Citizens, Inc. is pleased to announce Deb Thompson will be joining SCI as the chief business development officer in January 2017. In her new position, Thompson will be responsible for expanding the nonprofit’s programs and focused on increasing their private services to meet the growing needs of the aging Savannah area population.
The current vice president and general manager of WSAV-TV, Thompson is a 28-year broadcasting veteran and previously held sales and sales management positions in Oregon, Florida, Wisconsin, and Texas before joining WSAV in 2005. A graduate of Dallas Baptist University, Thompson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Savannah program.
A former SCI board member and chair of its marketing committee, Thompson has served on a number of community boards including Georgia Association of Broadcasters, Women’s Legacy and United Way of the Coastal Empire, Communities In Schools Savannah, Savannah State College of Business, and Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter.
