Senior Citizens, Inc. recently hosted a special breakfast event called “Thanks a Latte” to thank the outstanding SCI volunteers who contributed 13,332 hours of unpaid service (worth an estimated $314,102) over the past twelve months. Special guests at the event were Malcolm Williams and Marvin Roberts of Chatham Parkway Subaru. The local car dealership has served as a drop off site for SCI’s Meals on Wheels program for nine years. Williams and Roberts discussed the details of Subaru’s 2016 Share the Love Event, which is in progress through January 3, 2017.

During the event, Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru purchased or leased to the customer's choice of five national charities, including Meals on Wheels America, with a minimum guarantee of $250,000. All donations from sales in Georgia will remain in Georgia.
