West Rehab & Sports Medicine, an award-winning provider of physical therapy and wellness services, recently hired John R. Oviedo, MSPT, CDN, as a physical therapist at the company’s Pooler clinic located at 122 Pipemakers Circle in Pooler, Ga.

In his position, Oviedo works with West Rehab patients to overcome the adversities associated with physical injury and serves as their personal advocate and provider of care throughout their rehabilitation process. This includes performing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine the status of a patient’s physical abilities, diagnosis and age specific needs, and develops and implements individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and methods to achieve those goals.

Prior to joining the West Rehab team, Oviedo served as a physical therapist for Optim Healthcare where he worked with pediatric and adult orthopedic injury and post-surgical patients. “I’m excited to be here at West Rehab,” said Oviedo. “The company’s longstanding, successful history as a small business and involvement within the Savannah and surrounding communities for over 25 years is quite an accomplishment.”

Oviedo graduated from East Carolina University in 2000 with a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science and a M.S. degree in Physical Therapy in 2002.
