bar • food will celebrate its grand reopening on Jan. 21 from 10 am to 2 pm at 4523 Habersham St. with a new menu, an enhanced wine and cocktail list and restyled décor. Brief remarks will be made at noon and drawings will be held throughout the day for gift certificates, t-shirts and other prizes. In honor of the special occasion and the connection to food, pantry items such as plates, napkins, forks, aluminum foil and plastic wrap will be collected at the event for the Emmaus House Soup Kitchen, which serves the homeless community.               

The trendy gourmet menu will focus on fresh ingredients that are sourced locally and will include the additions of weekend brunch as well as daily specials for dinner. Brunch will include items such as The Biscuit Board with made-from-scratch biscuits, sausage gravy, red eye gravy, honey herb butter, garlic herb butter, honey, strawberry cognac sauce, spiced grape jelly, sausage, ham and bacon as well as The Morning Bleu made of roasted potatoes, bleu cheese, brie, mushrooms, bacon, scallions and red pepper flakes. Dinner includes specials such as an Asian-inspired meatloaf encrusted in a sriracha brown sugar ketchup with Thai spices and a side of squash casserole and also a seared wild-caught salmon topped with fresh tzatziki and a side spinach salad with tomato, cucumber and raspberry vinaigrette.
