Tuesday, January 10th, 2017

Tickets go on sale today for Coastal Heritage Society’s 2017 “Night At The Museum.” The event will take place on Saturday, January 21at Savannah History Museum, 303 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

"’Night At The Museum’ is always a special event for us because we can showcase many different historical narratives at once, while getting children excited about history and museums,” said Emily Beck, Manager of Interpretation. “The event runs like a living history lesson taught by some of Savannah’s most entertaining and influential figures, both real and fictional.”

The annual event takes visitors through night guard training and then on a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum. Guests will be able to interact with characters from Savannah History Museum’s exhibits as the historical figures appear to magically come to life. This year’s characters include: Juliette Gordon Low, Johnny Mercer, Forrest Gump, a Central of Georgia Railroad worker, a Revolutionary War soldier and more!

The event consists of a 90-minute interactive program in the museum. Guests will have the option to choose from three time slots for the program: 3:30 to 5 pm, 5 to 6:30 pm or from 6:30 to 8 pm. Event participants will also have two opportunities to view “Night at the Museum 3: Secret of the Tomb” at 1:30 pm and 7 pm. The 98-minute film screening is optional and seating is first come, first served.

Tickets are $12 per person for guests ages 18 months and older. Pre-registration for the event is required and tickets for each time slot can be purchased at: bit.ly/NATM2017
