Pittman Engineering Co., LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Abigail Margelofsky to their team of respected industry professionals.

Margelofsky, a registered Professional Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the field, joins the Richmond Hill based Pittman Engineering team as a Project Engineer. She will primarily focus on Geographic Information Systems, stormwater management projects, water resources services, and engineering design work. The Savannah native, who earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, is looking forward to her new role, which reunites her with a former mentor.

Margelofsky’s first position after college was with a local civil engineering firm, where she was placed on Ray Pittman’s team. Under his guidance, she flourished and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. Pittman went on to become a Bryan County Administrator, and later founded Richmond Hill-based Pittman Engineering in February 2015. Margelofsky also worked for more than a year amassing master planning expertise as a civil engineer in Public Works on Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield. She’s happy to once again fall under Pittman’s tutelage.

“Ray is a great leader. Really, my work style is his style because as far as water resources goes, he taught me everything I know,” she said.

Margelofsky’s husband, Kyle, has spent 16 years in the U.S. Army and currently is serving in Tampa, Florida.  The couple has four children – Ella, 7; Caleb, 5; Jonas, 4; Ada, 3; and they’re expecting another baby girl in 2017.

“This job is a wonderful opportunity and a great way for me to get back in the workforce,” said Margelofsky, who paused her career for a couple of years to raise her children. “I enjoy engineering and am excited about once again pursuing my passion for my profession.”

Ray Pittman, eager to expand Pittman Engineering’s offerings, happily seized the opportunity to bring Margelofsky on board and said, “Abbie is going to be a great addition to Pittman Engineering.”

“Abbie brings Pittman Engineering the knowledge necessary to fuse GIS with civil engineering design, broadening the range of consulting services available to our clients,” said co-owner Jason Bryant.
