Thomas & Hutton Names New Shareholders

Thomas & Hutton is pleased to announce the addition of four new company shareholders: J. Michael Barnes, PE, LEED AP; Jason Chambless, PE, LEED AP BD+C; Scott Greene, PE, LEED AP BD+C; and Nathan Long, PE, CFM, LEED AP BD+C.

“All four of these gentlemen are integral parts of our team and we couldn’t be happier to announce their shareholder statuses,” says Sam McCachern, CEO and President.  “Being 100% employee owned, Thomas & Hutton relies on the expertise, vision, and dedication of our shareholders to continue to grow the company into the future.”

Mike Barnes is the Regional Director of Thomas & Hutton’s Charlotte office.  He has 21 years of experience in project management for both public and private entities throughout North Carolina.  His background includes site development, water and wastewater, as well as management of institutional and commercial projects. Mike is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York.

Jason Chambless is a Civil Group Leader in Thomas & Hutton’s Savannah office, primarily focused on industrial and economic development clients and projects.  He has 20 years of experience in construction management and civil engineering consulting and has been with the company since 2003. Chambless earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, North Carolina, and Alabama.  He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Scott Greene is as Civil Group Leader in Thomas & Hutton’s Charleston office with 11 years of experience.  Greene earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia and South Carolina.  He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Nathan Long is a Civil Group Leader in Thomas & Hutton’s Savannah office with 15 years of experience.  Long earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural Engineering/Natural Resource Conservation.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. He is also a Certified Floodplain Manager and a LEED Accredited Professional.
