Wilderness Southeast to Hold Fundraising Event for Environment Education in Chatham County February 23rd

Wilderness Southeast, a non-profit educational corporation, will be hosting a fundraising event on Thursday, February 23 at The Armstrong House (447 Bull Street) from 6-9pm.  Fish Gotta Swim, Folks Gotta Eat will be an evening of fabulous food and drink, great music and a silent auction, all to raise awareness and funds for WiSE’s environmental educational program, Fish Gotta Swim.   For more information on the event, auction items or to buy tickets, please visit www.naturesavannah.org/.

The evening will feature some of Savannah’s favorite local chefs preparing their best cuisine.  Chefs will include Chris Nelson from Five Oaks Taproom at Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District, Will Herrington from Kitchen 320 at B Historic Savannah, Wendy Armstrong from Thrive Catering Savannah, and Lauren Teague from Atlantic - A Neighborhood Eatery.  Leopold’s Ice Cream will be on hand scooping for a good cause and several local institutions have come on board to sponsor the event including Service Brewing Company, Verdant Kitchen, Local Farm Bag and Ambos Seafood.

There will be a silent auction with items donated by 24e Design Co., driftwood artist Dr. Matt Gilligan, The Savannah Book Festival,  The Florence (four-course dinner for six, including wine pairings), and Leopold's Ice Cream (shipment of ice cream anywhere in the United States).
