Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Officially kicked-off in Jan 2017, Thomas & Hutton is lending a helping hand, in addition to its donations, to assist local community organizations through its service program, T&H Helping Hands.

Giving back to the local communities is an important core value of Thomas & Hutton that has been passed down from its founders, Hue Thomas and Joe Hutton, since 1946. With this new program, giving back means more than just emptying pockets, but getting your hands dirty.  Since the program kicked off in January, our volunteers have provided service at  Habitat for Humanity of the Coastal Empire working to improve the Habitat ReStore by painting, setting up cabinetry for upcoming builds, and building wooden ramps, laying cement, and improvements at the ReStore.  In February, the volunteers packaged over 1,000 boxes that were distributed to the more rural counties in the 21-county service area for America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. This past Friday, Thomas & Hutton was the proud sponsor for the Finish Line Water Stop at the March of Dimes Shamrock Run 5K. Volunteers set up for the race and rang in finishers with cowbells at the finish line while handing out bottles of water.
