Monday Evening Prepared Childbirth Session
6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Mondays, April 3 and April 10, at Memorial University Medical Center
This two-evening course gives an overview of reproductive anatomy and physiology and explains the process of labor and delivery in simple, easy-to-understand terms. It is designed for parents who have schedules that make it difficult to attend weekend or day classes. This course includes a tour of the labor and delivery unit. Yoga for Cancer Patients and Survivors
6:30 p.m., Tuesdays, and 12:45 p.m., Thursdays, FitnessOne, 3rd floor of the Memorial Outpatient and Wellness Center
These weekly yoga classes are free for cancer survivors and those in treatment. The classes help expand flexibility and balance while also providing relaxation. The instructor is Yoga Alliance registered with more than 200 hours of training, including specialized yoga training for cancer survivors at OM Yoga in New York. FREE Head, Neck, and Oral Cancer Screening
5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 6, Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial University Medical Center

American Red Cross Blood Drive

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at Memorial University Medical Center from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the blood donor room, located by the Medical Center Pharmacy. Parents Reducing Injuries and Driver Error

This free, two-hour driver education program is designed to help teens ages 14, 15, and 16 – along with their parents and guardians – to learn more about driving behaviors and laws. Basic Breastfeeding Class
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday April 25, Memorial University Medical Center
This two-hour session is designed to educate and support the mother planning to breastfeed. Topics include information on preparing to breastfeed, basic breastfeeding concepts, nutrition, and a discussion of common concerns. Issues such as family support for the breastfeeding mother, the father’s role in feeding, and how to breastfeed and continue to work are also covered. Your support person is encouraged to attend.
