BankSouth is pleased to announce banking industry veteran Donnis Markin has joined the leading, family-owned community bank as assistant vice president and retail manager in the Savannah market. In her new position, Markin will oversee the daily operations of BankSouth’s two retail offices located at 18 West Bryan St. on Johnson Square in downtown Savannah, and 200 Stephenson Ave., Suite 103, in midtown Savannah.
 
Markin comes to BankSouth with extensive banking experience and the highest industry standards. She has served over 26 years working her way through multiple banking positions to land longtime leadership roles. Her unwavering work ethic enabled Markin to surpass numerous benchmarks and earn a number of accolades along the way including Top Producer, Product Champion, and has been consistently honored as a Top Sales Teammate.

Markin graduated from Bellevue University with a bachelor’s degree in professional banking operations and leadership and earned top honors on the Dean’s List. She also graduated with diplomas from the American Institute of Commerce and the American Institute of Banking.
