Because today’s travelers are seeking local authentic experiences and goods and services indigenous to the region, The DeSoto is seeking partnerships with unique, locally-sourced products and purveyors as part of its multimillion-dollar renovation and transformation into one of Sotherly Hotels’ signature properties.

On August 1, The DeSoto, a 127-year-old iconic hotel located at 15 E. Liberty St. in historic downtown Savannah, Ga., will officially re-emerge from construction with all new features including a boutique retail shop, two new chef-driven restaurants and a gourmet-to-go coffee shop -- all of which are seeking specialty items that will enhance an authentic local experience for guests.

“We want The DeSoto to be a destination for locally-sourced items you can only find here in the South and to be a significant supporter of the community, its economy and growth,” said The DeSoto’s Managing Director Jeff Kmiec. “We look forward to forging new and prosperous partnerships with local businesses and entrepreneurs.”
