Safe Kids Savannah Splash & Sprint to Take Place Saturday, September 16th

Safe Kids Savannah will hold Splash and Sprint, a timed swimming and running event presented by Dr. Mark Kamaleson of Optim Orthopedics, on Saturday, September 16, at the Chatham County Aquatic Center and Lake Mayer in Savannah. Participants can register by going to www.runsignup.com and typing the race name: Splash and Sprint. The event is for youth ages 6 to 15 and the top male and female finishers will receive a medal. All participants will receive a ribbon.

The swim and run event is unique to coastal Georgia. The event helps promote water and sports safety

and is also a fundraiser for Safe Kids Savannah. Funds raised through Splash and Sprint help to purchase items such as bicycle helmets, child safety seats, and life jackets that can be distributed throughout local communities.

Packet pick-up will take place on Friday, September 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Chatham County Aquatic Center located at 7240 Sallie Mood Drive.
