Ameris Bank recently announced the hire of Ashley M. Norris as branch manager of their Rincon location. As branch manager, Norris will concentrate on growing consumer portfolios and cultivating business opportunities in addition to working alongside the Ameris Bank team to facilitate daily operations of the branch.

“Ashley’s expertise within the financial industry and considerable involvement within the community will serve as a great asset to our team,” said Greater Savannah Market President Jenny Gentry. “We are excited to watch the Rincon branch continue to thrive under his leadership.”

With over a decade of experience in the financial industry, Norris most recently served as the executive vice president of the Savannah Schools Federal Credit Union for the past four years. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from Georgia Southern University.

Norris is an active member of the Knights of Columbus (Council #631; downtown Savannah), a charter member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Iolar Division, and the current treasurer of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. He also serves as an advisory board member with Georgia Southern University’s Center for Irish Research and Development.
