C.H. Robinson, a global third party logistics company, and its Savannah office contributed to a month-long, company-wide, employee-led giving campaign which raised a total of $791,000 for a variety of local and national charities. In addition to the Robinson Cares campaign fundraising, employees accumulated more than 1,450 volunteer hours, helping their neighbors in need.
The Savannah office hosted a silent auction and other internal fundraising events to raise money for the following charities: Savannah SAFE Shelter, Nine Line Foundation, Surfers for Autism and One Love Animal Rescue.
“We’re dedicated to supporting these organizations in Savannah and the Low Country,” said Kevin Fischer, sales executive at C.H. Robinson. “It’s part of our culture at C.H. Robinson to do everything we can to strengthen the communities where we live, work and play.”
Since 2005, C.H. Robinson, along with its Foundation, has given over $23 million back to our communities.
“Our employees are the best in the industry — not just in their supply chain expertise, but their dedication to making an impact in their communities on the issues that matter to them most,” said Angie Freeman, chief human resources officer at C.H. Robinson. “Because of them, we were able to support more than 250 nonprofits working locally and globally.”
