Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District, a boutique hotel located at 201 West Bay St. in the vibrant City Market area of downtown Savannah, is pleased to announce industry veteran Jose M. Nieto has been named general manager of the 252-room, IHG property. In that role, Nieto will provide overall leadership and management of all Hotel Indigo Savannah operations and strive to deliver a truly authentic hospitality experience for guests and locals alike.
 
Prior to coming to Savannah, Nieto served as hotel manager for YOTEL New York for four years. With more than 20 years of hotel management experience, Nieto has served in top-tier leadership roles for Hyatt Hotel Corporations in five cities including the Hyatt Regency in both Miami, Fla., and Boston, MA as well as the Park  Hyatt Carmel in California and Hyatt Lisle in IL.
 
Nieto earned a bachelor’s degree in hotel management and tourism administration from the International Center of Hospitality and Tourism in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has been awarded the Manager of the Year Award at the Park Hyatt Carmel, the Leadership Award from Hyatt Regency Boston and Chicago, and the “Top 26 Best Managed” Rooms Division by the Hyatt Regency Miami.
