About 70 employers will be recruiting veterans and other job seekers to fill a number of job openings at a job fair in Savannah on Thursday.   

The job fair will be co-sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor and Savannah Technical College. It is open to the public.   

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Eckburg Auditorium at the college located at 5717 White Bluff Rd. Staff from the GDOL’s Savannah Career Center will be available to assist the job seekers.

Employers will be recruiting for a wide variety of positions, including skilled and unskilled laborers, health care and call center workers, teachers, retailers, corrections and police officers, firemen, and personnel to work in warehousing, logistics and housekeeping.  

Employers who have already registered include Army and Air Force Exchange Service, Aerotek, Comcast, Family Dollar Store, Goodwill Industries, Gulfstream, Home Depot, Ikea, International Paper Company, Lowe’s, and Source 4, along with a number of staffing agencies.
