The Union Mission Board of Directors recently announced Patricia (Pat) Youngquist as Executive Director. Pat has been serving as interim director for the past eight months. Created in 1937, Union Mission works to prevent and end homelessness one person at a time by providing a pathway to self-sufficiency and independent living.

Prior to be being named interim director, Pat served as director of finance for Union Mission. She has played an instrumental role in securing Union Mission’s strategic direction and fiscal position.  Pat has worked tirelessly over her tenure at Union Mission to restructure operations and place the organization on a path of growth and engagement in the homeless community.  The organization continues to move forward solidifying its many community partnerships and initiatives.

“After 13 years in the for-profit sector, in 1992 I changed focus to the non-profit sector with a desire to give back,” said Youngquist. “Being able to lead this dedicated team at Union Mission continues to be a rewarding and humbling experience.”

Pat previously served as the chief financial officer of a United Methodist Seminary. She also served as deputy general secretary of operations for the General Council on Finance and Administration for the United Methodist Church in Nashville, Tn.

“Pat Youngquist has been a transformative force at Union Mission,” said Union Mission Board Chair and Sterling Seacrest Partners President David Paddison. “Her ability to work with our board and her staff to execute our mission to prevent and end homelessness is a great benefit to our community.  Her hard work, understanding of the difficult financial issues facing the non-profit community, and her devotion to helping those less fortunate made our decision to remove the interim title very easy.  The board looks forward to working with Pat as she continues to lead Union Mission during this very exciting time.”
