Chatham Emergency Services Announces Hire of Phil Koster as Chief Operating Officer

Chatham Emergency Services Chief Executive Officer Chuck Kearns recently announced the hire of Phil Koster as Chief Operating Officer. Koster will be responsible for ongoing operations while implementing performance strategies to improve clinical and tactical performance of all departments.
“Phil’s expertise and experience in emergency services management are a welcome addition to our team,” said Kearns. “We are excited to see him engage with our organization and our community.”
With over 22 years of experience in public safety, Koster most recently served as vice president of operations for a large ambulance operation in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to that role, he was the operations head for services in Zanesville, Ohio and Detroit.
Koster received an Associate Degree in Emergency Management Services and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration and has received numerous certifications as an ambulance service manager and terrorism command specialist.
Koster is a Rotarian and has served oversees numerous times on mission trips in locations including Hong Kong, China, Austria, and Ecuador.
