Cohen’s Retreat Presents Iguarnieri Fresco Painting Exhibition Saturday, March 10th

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, March 9th, 2018

On Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 5-7 p.m., Cohen’s Retreat is pleased to invite the public to enjoy the Iguarnieri Fresco Painting Exhibition; the conclusion of the first installment of its Meet-the-Maker Signature Series. The Iguarnieri’s fresco paintings will be available for purchase during the exhibition.

Roberto and Rodolfo Iguarnieri of Florence, Italy, the brothers behind the famed Iguarnieri Art Studio Gallery, have been working onsite at Cohen's Retreat over the last 11-days creating contemporary artwork with their signature Italian fresco painting style. During their time at Cohen’s Retreat, several groups of students from local schools were able to meet the artists and participate in hands-on learning sessions.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to welcome two of the world’s most-talented artists to Savannah and Cohen’s Retreat,” said Colleen Smith, founder/owner of Cohen’s Retreat. “The finished works are stunning and we can’t wait to showcase their talents on Saturday. This event is just one part of our overarching mission here at Cohen’s, which is to provide an engaging destination for art, food and community. The Meet-the-Maker Signature Series is one example of the expanded arts programming we are planning for 2018. We’re very excited for what’s to come!”

Many of the Iguarnieri brothers’ paintings are held in private and public collections across Europe, USA, Australia, and Asia. In 2005, they started making “on site” fresco paintings in Florence, Luxemburg, Moscow, and others for individual customers as well as public and private companies.
