Jennifer Abshire of Abshire Public Relations Named to Board of Trustees for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Georgia Chapter

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Georgia Chapter is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Abshire, CEO and founder of Abshire Public Relations, a strategic brand management firm based in Savannah, Georgia to its Board of Trustees. Ms. Abshire joins a group of fifteen fellow Trustees to provide strategic guidance, financial oversight and fundraising assistance for the organization.
 
Ms. Abshire is a serial entrepreneur, founding Abshire Public Relations in 2000, and is a minority owner of Lucky Savannah Vacation Rentals and one of the key collaborators for Logistics Marketing Solutions. Her public relations firm provides counsel and strategy for over 100 regional companies and municipalities throughout the state, and has been selected best PR firm since 2016 by the readers of Savannah Magazine.
 
Ms. Abshire’s professional background started in Savannah fundraising for American Red Cross and Parent and Child. From 1992-1996 Jennifer served as the Executive Director of Savannah’s Olympic Committee and helped the city prepare for a successful 1996 Olympic Yachting Competition.
 
Currently, Ms. Abshire serves on the Georgia Chamber Board of Directors, on the advisory boards of the Savannah Economic Development Authority and Georgia Southern University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Safe Shelter. She is also a graduate and past program chair for Leadership Georgia, Leadership Savannah, and Leadership Southeast Georgia.
 
Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Ms. Abshire earned a B.A. in Public Relations from Georgia Southern University. She is married to John Davis, owner of John Davis Florist, and they have two children, Phillip age 24, attending Mercer Law and Reilly, age 20, attending the University of Alabama.
