Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Wednesday, June 20th, 2018

The Savannah Philharmonic has unveiled a dynamic new website ahead of the opening of their Tenth Anniversary Season on September 22. In addition, to expand the organization’s outreach, the Philharmonic has expanded their social media messaging by launching an Instagram marketing campaign to complement their existing Facebook and Twitter initiatives.

The non-profit organization’s new website was made possible through a generous donation from Astrid Horan, a loyal and generous supporter of the Savannah Philharmonic. The website, unveiled today, features stylish imagery by local photographer Geoff Johnson. The contemporary design makes accessing information and purchasing tickets simple and user-friendly. Individuals interested in learning more about the Savannah Philharmonic and the organization’s upcoming concerts and community outreach programs can do so with just a couple of clicks. The website was created by Philip Randolph, owner of Savannah Web Guy. A key part of the new imagery is the Savannah Philharmonic’s new logo, which is the traditional logo reimagined with gold highlights to celebrate the organization’s past decade of musical success. The image driven site showcases the organization’s Ten Harmonious Years.

For the Tenth Anniversary Season, the Savannah Philharmonic is working with younger music enthusiasts by offering newly created student subscriptions packages which offer significant cost savings.  In addition, a new social media platform has been created to appeal to younger supporters with the launch of the new Instagram account. The Philharmonic worked with United Reaction, a SCAD student network, to create fresh and modern content for the social media campaign which complements the new website with stunning graphics and imagery.

“Our organization is thrilled to enter our Tenth Anniversary Season with this contemporary new website and engaging Instagram campaign. We hope that these tools will provide the community and supporters with the opportunity to truly connect with our organization and musicians on a deeper level,” said Savannah Philharmonic Executive Director Terri O’Neil. “We can’t wait to share our Tenth Anniversary Season with this community and are proud to be Savannah’s Philharmonic!”

The Savannah Philharmonic strives to be one of the most dynamic and engaging orchestral and choral groups in the U.S., and to be regarded as an essential musical, educational, cultural, and economic asset to our community. The nonprofit organization’s mission is to inform, instruct, and enrich the community through orchestral and choral performances, and to promote and increase community knowledge and appreciation of the arts.
