Ameris Bank Market President Jenny Gentry announces that Carol Coppola has joined as vice president and commercial banker at the bank’s Savannah location.

Coppola will be responsible for maintaining the bank’s commercial client portfolio with new and existing client relationships. She has more than 20 years experience in commercial banking and is knowledgeable in relationship development and credit underwriting.

Coppola most recently served as commercial banking relationship manager for SunTrust Bank in Savannah, where she administered a diverse portfolio to include companies in manufacturing, retail, service, government, and the not-for-profit industries.  She has a proven record of facilitating long term business relationships with customers and business partners.

Coppola received a bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from the University of Georgia.   She is a native to Savanah and has been active in many community organizations including Savannah Sunrise Rotary, Savannah Propeller Club, Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity and the CFO Council of Savannah.  She is also a graduate of Leadership Savannah and Leadership Southeast Georgia.
