Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Bernard Williams & Company is a proud supporter of the 10th Anniversary of the Friends of Statts Fundraiser that will take place Saturday, September 29. The event’s proceeds benefit Jason Statts, a SCAD graduate who was the victim of a 2008 armed robbery in Ardsley Park and was rendered a quadriplegic.

The 3-7PM portion of Statts Fest on September 29 features live outdoor music and a silent auction at The Rail Pub, 405 W. Congress Street. Later that day, the festival will move to The Jinx at 127 W. Congress Street for Statts After Dark from 8PM until closing. Tickets are available at the door for $20 for each event venue or you may purchase pre-sale tickets for $15 per event at www.friendsofstatts.com.

“Jason is an incredible individual and we are honored to support this fundraiser. We have been a supporter for several years and we hope that this year’s event, which marks the 10 years since Jason was shot, will be a tremendous success,” Alan Williams, Senior Vice President of Bernard Williams & Company said.

Statts has been unable to move since he was shot through the neck and spinal cord 10 years ago. He is unable to move except for limited use of his arms and hands. Because of his love of music and as a way to help, his friends launched the inaugural Friends of Statts fundraiser the same year that he was injured. Statts continues to experience severe nerve pain, extended hospital stays, and increased difficulty navigating outside his home. Monies raised from the festival that bears his name help with expenses such as ongoing care.
