Over a decade ago The Fiduciary Group, an investment advisory firm based in Savannah, Georgia, recognized the importance of visual language to more effectively communicate financial concepts and services. Thanks to the graphic design program offered by the Savannah College of Art and Design, TFG found a talented field of young graphic designers in its own backyard. In 2008 Carey Schwartzburt, then Carey Black and a recent SCAD grad, joined the firm and brought graphic design capabilities in-house to the investment firm. For the last 10 years Carey has developed the firm’s visual communications ranging from web site design and client presentations to the firm’s articles, publications, and reports. While Carey is on maternity leave for her third child born on August 4th, SCAD grad Savannah Price is filling her shoes.
Savannah recently completed a new design for the firm’s web site which will be unveiled soon, among other design contributions. Savannah added, “Having recently graduated from SCAD, I am so thankful for the opportunity to apply my specialized design skills to TFG’s culture and concepts. To be able to take these complex financial ideas and lay them out in a way that is accessible for everyone has been a fun and welcome challenge for me, and I am appreciative to everyone at TFG for being so encouraging and making this transition as easy as possible.”
