Savannah Tech to Celebrate Constitution Day with Activities for Students September 17th

Savannah Technical College's Adult Education division is hosting Constitution Day activities on September 17 at the Savannah Campus (5717 White Bluff, 31405). These activities are free and open to the public. Most of the Constitution Day activities will be held in the Eckburg Auditorium.

STC students are encouraged to develop a poem or spoken word on the subject of “Freedom” to perform at 10:45 a.m. or 7:30 p.m.

Attorney Karen Barr will lead a Citizenship Application Workshop that is open to the public from 12:15 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. in room 7126.  Barr will present basic information about the process of becoming a US Citizen and answer attendees’ specific questions.  Attendees may want to bring documents that they are working on in order to get the answers they need to complete the process. She has been practicing law in Savannah since 1977. She also is a regular speaker at continuing legal education seminars, writer’s groups, and organizations whose members are interested in exercise.

In addition to activities, voters may register all day in Room 8147.
