South Coast Contracting Group, Inc., an award-winning construction and contracting company headquartered in Pooler, Ga., has expanded its service offerings to include a comprehensive Commercial Property Maintenance & Inspection Division. This division provides commercial property owners a solid preventative maintenance program to ensure their investments maintains its value and longevity.

“Although such a plan is critically important, it is, unfortunately, often overlooked by business owners,” said South Coast Contracting Group Co-Founder Greg Alfonso. “Property owners often cite a lack of time, money, or being unsure who to contact for not investing in a preventative maintenance plan. However, consider the time, money, and labor lost when there are unscheduled repair costs, emergencies or building deficiencies. Having a plan helps forecast a maintenance schedule more accurately and can maximize efficiency goals and aid in longevity forecasts.”

SCCG’s property maintenance and inspection division helps commercial building owners maintain their property. With in-house personnel and an extensive network of subcontractors and licensed technicians, SCCG monitors buildings for code and safety, identify areas of poor construction, and assess where cost savings can occur as well as assess any potential building envelope issues.

“We provide a full audit of your property and a tiered list, based on urgency, of what needs to happen in order to properly maintain the building, giving you a map to schedule expenses as they fit in your budget,” said Alfonso.

A properly operated preventative maintenance program, whether developed in-house or in conjunction with an outside specialist, can improve safety and quality conditions, decrease equipment downtime, reduce overtime costs, increase the life expectancy of assets, as well as increase a building’s value by staying ahead of causes that will eventually devalue a property.
