Juvenile Justice Department Judge Joins Goodwill Board of Directors

Judge Lisa Colbert of the Juvenile Justice Department for Chatham County joined the Goodwill Southeast Georgia Board of Directors. Judge Colbert was appointed to the court in September of 2012. She is a graduate of Groves High School, Savannah State University, and the University of Georgia School of Law. She also served in the Georgia Air National Guard as a Staff Sergeant.

Judge Colbert has worked as an Associate for several law offices, as Senior Staff Attorney for the Office of Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee, as Staff Attorney for Chatham County Superior Court Judge Louisa Abbot and as Assistant County Attorney for Chatham County.  She has served on several boards and foundations.  Currently Judge Colbert serves on the Board of the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.
 
Funds raised through Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s retail and business operations power programs that serve the local community.  Goodwill’s mission is to lead all individuals to sustainable economic independence by providing career training programs and wrap-around support services.  The local board of directors is made up of volunteer members who help guide and develop the mission of the organization.
