Chatham Emergency Services Awards Presentation and Officer Pinning

Chatham Emergency Services recently hosted their annual appreciation dinner and pinning ceremony. This event recognizes each division within the organization in addition to specific promotions for EMS and Fire responders.

Five volunteer divisions were recognized for their dedication to Chatham Emergency Services including the Montgomery Division (Chief Max Nowinsky), the Seventh District (Chief Eric Phillips), Skidaway Island Division (Chief Carey Ruppert), Southside Division (Chief Jonathan McCrary), and the Islands Division (Chief Keith Hardin).

Nineteen first responders participated in a pinning ceremony as a reflection of their recent promotions. The following individuals were pinned by family members who attended the event:

  • EMS Field Training Officer: Thomas Boyd, Chasity Brown, Jessica Chandler-Garmen, Jonathon Gould, David Hall, Christine Kennedy, Steven Liebl, Mary Meeks, Logan Warren

  • Fire Lieutenant: Bryon LaClair, Michael Mason, Carl Sapp, Ben Szychowski, Andrew Ulmer

  • Fire Captain: Morgan Ellington

  • Fire Watch Captain: Robert Merritt

  • Fire District Chief: Steve Elmgren

  • EMS District Chief: Brandon Doering and Jim Luck

  • Volunteer Deputy Chief: Brian Edgar (Skidaway Division) and Christian Pfister (Southside Division)

  • Volunteer Chief: Eric Phillips (Seventh District) and Carey Ruppert (Skidaway Division)
