Georgia Tech Professional Education Military Programs Gets Statewide Recognition as ACT Workforce Champion

Georgia Tech Professional Education Military Programs has been selected as the ACT College and Career Readiness Workforce Champion.
This award recognizes individual efforts in college and career readiness in the following categories: high school senior, K-12 professional, postsecondary professional, workforce professional. Georgia Tech-Savannah was acknowledged in the workforce professional category for its positive impact on the community, helping to prepare and support veterans for career success.
Earlier this month, Georgia Tech Professional Education Military Programs was also awarded the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) 2018 Malcolm Knowles Award.
“We are excited and honored for this recent recognition. We strive to increase access to educational opportunities for all military personnel, and support their current and future careers” says James Wilburn, Ed.D., GTPE Military Academic Program Director.
Veterans Education Training and Transition is a fully-funded program that prepares veterans for civilian careers. The detailed program teaches students in the classroom through online instruction, and provides several internship opportunities. In the end, successful students earn a professional certificate and are better positioned to land civilian careers.
